I am always amazed at how the Lord designs us and all the creative ways we can approach things. Take cooking, for example. Just look at all the styles and flavors. We can go out and, depending on the city, find hundreds of different styles: American, Mexican, Chinese, Thai, Italian, and French. Then, there are regional styles within all of these styles of cooking.

How many different ways can one enjoy pizza? Chicago, New York, Detroit, California, St. Louis, Sicilian, Greek and Neapolitan. After the styles, there is a variety of toppings in each style of pizza, and our come is truly unique. Pizza is one food that truly caters to the individual tastes of the person ordering the pizza.

Many of us have very distinct tastes when It comes to pizza. I personally am not a fan of Italian sausage, but I love Pepperoni. I prefer cooked tomatoes over fresh tomatoes. I love Pepperoncini but loath olives. I also another very distinct take on pizza and its toppings. I believe that one of the seven deadly sins is placing pineapple on a pizza and pizza that has it should immediately put in a trash can .

With all the styles of pizza or any food, there are styles of worship that are just as varied. Traditional is often led by a hymnal, contemporary uses modern music to describe God, and blended uses both styles in the service. The Church of Christ will not allow any instrument inside and relies solely on the voice that the Lord gave us all. The bottom line of all these styles comes down to one thing: our hearts. Does our heart belong to the Lord? Do we pour our hearts out to the Lord of Lords in our worship?

Just as there are so many ways to cook and enjoy food, there are so many ways to worship the Lord. Did you know when we do well at work it is a form of worship? When men love our wives like Christ loved the church, it is worship. When we love those the world has cast aside, we worship. When we meditate on God’s Word and transform our minds, that, too, is another way we worship. Being thankful during prayer is an outstanding way to worship the King.

Another way we worship is right in in the Lords prayer. Matt 6:9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Hallowed is to treat Him as Holy. One of the most dynamic ways is to meditate or think about the attributes of God. God you are Holy, faithful, eternal, patient, sovereign. When we hallow his name it is just one more form of worship.

This week, we are going to take a peek at one of the great worshippers in scripture, but maybe you want to take a deeper look at the attributes of God, so I will include a short list for you to study and meditate on. Knowing God is the best tool we have to fight against the principalities of the world. See you Sunday at 9:30 AM.
