Soul Care Groups at Vine & Branch Fellowship

Purpose and Vision:

Purpose and Vision: Soul Care Groups at Vine & Branch Fellowship exist to deepen discipleship and foster genuine transformation through life-on-life engagement. Care for the mind, body, and soul. We care for the mind by renewing it with the Word of God (Rom. 12:2), body care comes by meeting practical needs as the body is our temple (1 Cor. 6:19-20), and we care for the soul by finding rest in God and our salvation (Psalm 62:1). Rooted in biblical principles (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Col. 3:16), these groups aim to glorify God (Isa. 43:7) and equip believers to experience the joy of walking with Christ (John 15:11; 17:13). Rooted in biblical principles (2 Tim. 3:16-17), these groups aim to glorify God (Isa. 43:7) and equip believers to experience the joy of walking with Christ (John 15:11; 17:13). Through intentional discipleship, personal reflection, and community support, participants grow in their understanding of God’s Word (Heb. 4:12; Psalm 119:105) and apply it to their daily lives (James 1:22; Matt. 7:24-25).

Core Objectives:

1. Deep Understanding of God’s Word: Equip members with a thorough understanding of God’s Word to face life’s challenges in ways that honor the Lord, fostering a Christ-centered perspective in all circumstances.

2. Practical Application of Sermons: Provide opportunities to discuss and apply biblical truths shared during Sunday sermons, promoting spiritual growth and maturity.

3. Personalized Discipleship: Offer tailored soul care for individuals and families to address specific spiritual needs and encourage growth in Christ.

4. Community and Accountability: Cultivate a loving and grace-filled environment where the “one-anothers” of Scripture are lived out, fostering mutual encouragement and accountability (Col. 3:13; 1 Thess. 5:11).

Structure of Soul Care Groups:

1. Weekly Gatherings: Groups meet mid-week to discuss Sunday sermons, explore practical applications, and address questions on Scripture or spiritual life.

2. Individual Care: Group leaders invest time in diagnosing spiritual conditions, understanding one’s gifts, sharing the gospel, and recommending resources for further growth.

3. Family Discipleship: Parents will be equipped to lead their families in spiritual growth, recognizing the home as a vital setting for fostering faith and obedience to Christ.
